Hijacking of Slov-Air flight L-410A to NSR (8.6.1972)

The hijacking of the aircraft to the German SSR on 8 June 1972 was the hijacking of an L-410A Turbolet type aircraft with the OK-ADN registration on the regular Mariánské Lázně - Prague - Bratislava - Lučenec route of Slov-Air, during which the captain of the aircraft Ján Mičica was shot dead and the co-pilot was forced to land the aircraft in Weiden, Bavaria. The main organiser and murderer, Lubomír Adamica, hanged himself in custody on 14 January 1973. The other hijackers were sentenced to 3 to 7 years in prison by a German court in December 1973.
