"Even though my mom believed in God, she didn’t like the Ukrainian priests. She distrusted them because of her experience from 1928 when a Ukrainian priest refused to baptize her first-born son, born out of wedlock. The godparents then went to the church and baptized my older brother."

Olga Krivenka was born on 25th April 1944 in the village of Stare Brusno, Lubaczów County, Poland.
In 1945 her family was relocated to the Soviet Union; presently she lives in the village of Kozaki.
