Maung Htay spent almost 8 years in Insein Prison as a political prisoner. He was treated with severe physical and mental tortures. Maung Htay is staying with his wife and 5 children in U Ni Su village, Taunggyi station, Bogalay Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region. He is doing farming and he is a former political prisoner. He was arrested by military in 1991 and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. He was released after staying in the prison for almost 8 years.
