They used to call me a Scout turned Pioneer who became a Scout again
Miloslav Dvorský was born July 27th, 1935 in Nový Bydžov. From 1945-1948 he was a member of the Cub Scout pack Jeleni (Deers) in Nový Bydžov. In 1949 he went to Zlín to do vocational training as a shoemaker in the Obnova (Baťa) factory. He has been living in Český Dub permanently since 1958 and actively involved in local community organizations. He served as the leader of the local Sokol and in 1968 he was involved in the restoration of the Scouting movement in Český Dub. Two years later, he transferred his troop under the Pioneer organization, where he remained active as the troop leader until the Velvet Revolution in 1989 when he again took part in the renewal of Scouting in the town. He has served as a leader of children for many years and received two regional awards for this activity. Since 1990 he has been working independently as a shoemaker.
