And the rumble was like on the fast track when those planes landed and went up. So Košice was occupied. When we were young, we went to Liberators' Square. At that time, the Slovan Hotel was being built. Things like that happened there, stones were thrown and so on and so forth. Then we got an earful from my father. We were only there for one day because I didn't dare to go the other day. My father would have eaten me.“

„It's a question of the state's approach from the financial side, because in our time, what we mentioned, there was a teacher who made it possible to train, to be in the gym. These things are not possible today. Today you have to pay every 5 minutes and there is no money for that. The second thing is that when we acted as coaches, we received some money. Funny, but we were proud Czechoslovaks, Slovaks, because we wanted to. Money was not decisive, but we had suitable conditions for training and playing. Now, very simply put, there is no money. Preference is given to the children of those who have money, and this is already reflected in performance.“
