Soňa Palátová, née Walterová was born on 13 December 1927 in Kojetín. She and her parents Marie and Jaroslav Walter moved to Uničov when she was two years old and she started to attend first year of school there. The family had to leave Sudeten Uničov in September 1938. They spent a month at their acquaintance´s in Olomouc then they moved again, this time to Třebíč where her father worked as a clerk. The family spent the whole war period in Třebíč. Witness was living in Hradec Králové during the time of the shooting the interview (2015). Soňa Palátová died in 2019.
